The guy in this comic, in the unaltered comic is totally shit on. Like the last few years have been feminist empowerment and this character has been totally boned.

Just a quick look at this characters life:

His woman left him and his lesbian friend who had been openly pining for her immediately asks her out and they start dating. Now getting married.

His female friend ditched a guy, who just mysteriously turned into a complete ass for no reason and now dates a super buff female military robot.

The previous role of robot character which was Male. Now is split between 4+ female robots. His friend the Male robot isn't seen for weeks or months at a time and gets a few panels, maybe.

His Male friends just flat out do not show up in the comic anymore. No mention of them or anything. Just poof, gone now.

His girlfriend now, the one in this comic, used to be a man. Which is cool, except now that character is probably going to dump him to further her career or he is expected to leave his job and life and follow her.

I used to like this comic, but it's a complete mess now. Everything that is done, seemingly in the name of diversity is all just visuals. No real meaning behind it other than to look good.

The closest comparison I can make is to splice the beginning of Malcolm X with the ending of that racist Disney movie. You know the one.
