You can't be homeless in a city. Find a way out.

This highlights the major issue: We've all existed so long in the system's societies that we have forgotten our scavenger nature.

This circumstance was engineered. We were influenced off the land and into cities - perpetuating unending dependence, while we feed their growth.

With no additional tools and skills, who could stomach to eat raw - sometimes partially rotted - dead animals? Yet we're designed for it in case of emergency. Disease isn't what the drug pushers tell you.

We've all been been taught to fear nature. I'm not full of bullshit bravado to say I don't also. I don't have privilege of experience in true wild nature.

The British Isles are outright divided up and owned; while anything supposedly "wild" is state controlled and policed. I can't even collect logs without the Masonic "pigs" potentially coming after me.

I did 40 days in my car after my divorce. I had cash but only enough to buy a cheap flat. I ate at lunchtime in clubs as a solid baked dinner for $7 is great. Surf clubs have free showers and public pools have free hot showers. Clothes were bought from Charities and are very cheap and good brand names. The holiday parks have large capacity washing and drying machines. I am in Australia and everything is expensive. But just have to talk to others doing it rough.

Assuming that you don’t have a good enough credit score and you cannot get a good enough job: -First, you have to find a way to leave California. I don’t know if you have the capacity to find a job that pays enough for rent, and no low skill job will be enough. Any cheaper state for you is better. -Second, cleanup. No drugs(pot, alcohol, cigarettes) you need your mind to be as sharp as possible to find your way out. -Third, after you find a job somewhere with cheaper rent, hold out a few months until you have enough paystubs to prove you can pay rent. Since your credit score is low, finding a place to rent is going to be very difficult. -Fourth, find a roommate. One way around a low credit score, is renting with someone with a good credit score, I know this from personal experience.

Fifth, take actions to prevent this from happening again. Build a good credit score, save up to 6 months of rent, make friends and stay clean.

Hop on a bus and go to downtown los angeles city hall. Pretty much the corner of Temple and Los Angeles.

Just outside, on los angeles street, there are a few little tiki-hut-looking buildings on/near the sidewalk that look like they'd be more at home in a tropical island than they do in a megalopolis downtown district.

They are locations that are for homeless services.

They can help you getting basics like toiletries, to free places to shower, and even into supportive housing.

Whats your story? do you have a clean Drivers liscence? Almost every jusisdiction has a program to get unemployed or welfare folks a class 1 or 3 drivers salience if they are free of DUI. Its not a glamours life but its honest.

There are soup kitchens and shelters all over Los Angeles, serving every meal and some shelters admitting single men.

There's plenty of work in flyover country. Beg or work for cash until you can save $500-1000... hitch rides on semis to flyover country.. somewhere like eastern South Dakota, Minnesota, Iowa, or Wisconsin, and find some work and a cheap studio apartment.
