I wrote a post about single shaming and how I use stoicism to get over the shaming. I've been single my entire life which used to bother me but I'm taking steps to not let it affect me. There are other men who have the same issue and I wanted to share my experience with overcoming single shaming so that they don't repeat my mistakes.

But people interpreted it as I'm just coping and I'm trying to make excuses for why I'm single. There was no sign of depression but people really wanted to believe I was depressed so they could invalidate my post and prevent other single men from finding value in it. I didn't realize MGTOW was gatekeeping.

Dude i am getting sick of your posts by now. The one week you tell how depressed you are and the other week you tell others what they should do to be a better man.

It seems I can't post anything on this sub without a lot of people telling me they're sick of my posts. I didn't realize even MGTOW was not a supportive place for men to talk about their lives.

I should just lie and tell people I'm happy even if I'm not. I already do that in real life. I thought that I could at least be honest on the internet.

Its a vicious cycle of depression and then validating why its okay to be the thing that depresses you.

I'm trying to go my own way and I'm validating depression? I should stop going my own way then.
