I have herpes. My ex from three years ago never disclosed and I got it three months j to our relationship. I broke up with her. Since then it’s been three long years of bad flings, relationships, and denial. I didn’t know enough about herpes and never got actually diagnosed until a few months ago. I didn’t get disclosed to and thought you could only spread the virus when having and outbreak (which turns out to be false). I kept relationships to a minimum during this time because I knew I didn’t understand what was going on, felt guilty about not disclosing (still believed with condom and no break out I was preventing the spread). But now that I’m officially diagnosed, know more about my condition, and realize what it’s doing to me mentally (self sabotage relationships). I feel that I won’t enter a relationship unless I disclose. Still, I feel more hopeless than ever and am 26, realizing now that with disclosure of herpes my SMV is essentially 0 (despite my looks, money, status being high). I’ve tried to focus on self love and live the mgtow way recently to with a lot of positives but I’m still totally in the closet withy condition and constantly feel like I’m hiding. People are starting to speculate why I’m not dating which is understandable. The only good new in the future are better treatments to prevent transmission (a lot of good things in the works) and the hopes of eventually becoming a single father surrogate. Any advice from the mgtow community?
