Pretty self explanatory title, but I thought I'd pose the question to guys that are pretty similar to me.

I live by myself in a rural/regional town, after having moved from Melbourne (Australia). I'm super happy on my 6.5 acre block, with sweeping views of country farmland and the mountains in the distance. I pretty much sold up, quit my jobs and headed country. I'm single, and kidlet free. Sounds pretty MGTOW, right? I went my own way.

However, I moved just before Covid kicked in, in 2020, and i found myself facing a tough job market. You may ask why i moved without getting a job first, but really... i moved for me. Not for work, not for a partner. I was also in a financial position to be able to go a long time without work.

I eventually found work, which I've been doing for almost a year, just as a bartender and working a small bottleshop. Developed good relationships with the locals. But its not ideal, not what I'd prefer to be doing, and am considering looking elsewhere.

So yeah.. how far would you travel for work? Remembering that I dont need to be home for family reasons and kids. Out here in regional Australia, any major time or distance would be highway driving, and no stop/start, no traffic jams, 100km/h all the way... so the negative factors of heavy traffic wouldn't apply..

What are your thoughts? how far do you currently commute, what type of traffic, full time/part time, would you go further? Is it too far?
