I have a lot more to say about it. The reason I care about it is because I attended the high school the event happened at, and the video has made me think about my past and how things have changed at the school.

  1. The video is of Advanced Dance Class students. They're all high school seniors, which means they're young women who know exactly what they're doing. You can join the U.S. military at 17 years old with parental consent, and they're all eligible.

  2. We know the students chose the songs because no teacher in their right mind would do it.

They had to go back almost 20 years for the first song clip. That means they chose it because it really resonates with them. It's from Destiny Child's "Jumpin' Jumpin'."

This is pure bragging about how hot and wealthy Nikki Minaj is. "Show my ass like a stank ho" is pure class. Why do that? "Once he go black, he'll be back again." I don't see how a bunch of white women can relate to that, but they're apparently just that hot in their minds. Judging by how they danced to that clip, they all consider themselves to be queens like Minaj does. Including the line "Big bank take lil' bank" sounds like they have plans to drain some poor guy's bank account to me.

Here's where you know the students edited it just to get passed some kind of censorship. The next line in the song where it cuts off is "roll the best weed ‘cause I got it goin' on." Everyone knows what weed is, and you have to be at least 21 in California to smoke it. I guess no adults noticed that Chandon is wine, and you have to be 21 to drink wine in California.

What's the bragging about this time? Being a gangster and actually a member of the Crip street gang and having enough wealth to own a Rolex.

Let's summarize all that. It's basically the worst of all the cliches. Completely materialistic and hypergamous, completely amoral and criminal, and totally classless and narcissistic.

It epitomizes what society is like for attractive women. They can say all of that unequivocally. The adults will cheer and the guys will just keep drooling.
