This is a complete red herring to what this thread is about.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 06:33 AM

You aren't factoring in women's biological clock and maternal nature. "Career Opportunities" from 1991 is about teens in the modern world. Fast forward ten years when Josie's biological clock is ticking and everything changes. There is often a glass ceiling against women which kicks in later life far after the teen years which the movie is about. What I am saying is that we both can be right here.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/07/26 06:01 AM

Check out the movie "Career Opportunities" (1991) through the worldview you just described. Josie and Jim have essentially the same backgrounds and lack of skills. Josie is given automatic royal status because of her looks while Jim has to work his way up from the bottom as a lowly average man. 😂

I don't hate entitlement, and I don't want anyone not to sing the song. I have no problem with anyone putting any conditions on dating, but I think some are excessive to me personally in terms of what I can personally take. I mean, I would probably cancel the date described in that song with all those red flags. I posted this thread to point out a historical fact about what this song is about just to give people a chance to notice the red flags and consider them.

The demanding and selfish nature of Katie Casey is incredible. Her boyfriend offered a date to a show which is usually nicer than a baseball game. She impolitely refuses that and demands to go to a baseball game whether he likes it or not. She has no concern for his opinion. She also demands peanuts and Cracker Jack which shows how spoiled she was to expect exactly what she wanted at the snap of her fingers. It doesn't matter what the demands are, it's the attitude behind the demands. She also m…

While yes as a species our goal is to propagate You stated that as a fact. Can you prove it's true? I believe the drive to procreate is forced on us at puberty, and very few people would choose that on their own if it wasn't forced on them. How can you call such a thing a goal? In my mind, procreating is a goal for most people like handing over your money during an armed robbery to stay alive is a goal.

Do you have source for that claim?

Being alpha means you’re fucking a lot of women. Which means increased chance of pregnancy. Is that the rationale? First, that's not necessarily true. Plenty of alpha males can't get dates because they aren't attractive. Second, what MGTOW is looking for an "increased chance of pregnancy"? I have never heard of that.
/r/MGTOW225/06/21 02:58 AM

This thread is aimed at people who think you have to be an alpha male to be a true MGTOW, and I am arguing against that.

Congresspeople answer to their constituents in the US at least, and you left them out of the hierarchy. My point is that someone like Al Green is even free from the burden of the elections because he's so popular among his constituents.
/r/MGTOW225/06/21 12:05 AM

Does that mean a congressperson has the best chance at freedom in that hierarchy (not including shareholders)? If it's someone like Al Green who will get reelected basically regardless of what he does, I think so.

What do you mean by "even"? A polyamorous relationship makes a man a cuck by definition. That's worse than marriage in my opinion. At least in marriage it's possible for a man to keep his dignity.

I will repeat the summary of the music video from the original post. BANKS keeps calling herself the Devil. She lures some poor man into a trap, entrapped him in a tiny box, and spits on the box showing personal contempt. Only ruin, pain, and agony will come from that mentality. if you want to rationalize it, that's just fine. I cannot believe that any man would do anything but run from a woman who thinks that stuff is acceptable in any context. Yes, even role play. There are certain things that…

It has 186,645 views in about two days now. That's not the point. Just read the replies in this thread. Glorifying evil in pop culture is becoming an increasingly big problem. Something I have thinking about recently is how much better women seemed in terms of relationships before the Internet and Internet dating ruined everything. Women used to be so much more kind and supportive toward men they liked because before the Internet they had to have a good personality to be considered attractive as a rule. Good looks were not enough on the dating scene to attract good people before the Internet. That all changed with dating sites where it's all about looks for women, so …

Go watch old shows and look at the lyrics. We can't debate if you won't support your conclusions with evidence. This is not evidence because your interpretation of those things could be wrong. Music is music, you are saying that if consumed by people who consume pop it is bad but if consumed by people who listen to HM it is ok. ummmm - no! You haven't proven that Black Sabbath glorified evil at all. The only way you could prove your point is to find some actual Satanic music from some previous e…

Go watch Ozzy and Black Sabatth from the 70s - this has been around for a long time it isnt new. First, how did they glorify evil? Second, comparing heavy metal to pop music is disingenuous at best. Third, there has been music that glorifies Satanism and related things. Can you show me that in pop music by a female? I think this is a new phenomenon. Keep focused on yourself as you cant changed others or society. If you lose awareness of your surroundings, then it doesn't matter how great or stro…

"Fittest" has nothing to do with the individual making the best choice for themselves with regards to happiness. Choosing against slavery isn't necessarily about happiness. It gives you a better chance for survival because you have more options. As an analogy, other things being equal, does someone who has to carry around a huge metal ball all time have a better chance at survival than someone who has nothing to carry around? Every hard rock band I can think of had blue pill simp songs when I was growing up. Van Halen, Guns N Roses, Aerosmith, Motley Crue, AC/DC, etc. I will give Metallica credit for never going there as far as I know, but they were heavy metal. What about the effect that has on young people?

I don’t even understand where you’re getting the idea that she’s singing about being the alpha in a relationship. I took the song as being written to a man who is obsessed with her, and her telling the man that he can't handle her and one reason is because she's a female alpha. I can see the song as being about her music and not romance too now that you mention it. It doesn't matter if "Future Nostalgia" is about romance. If you're alpha, there's no off switch. You're not making an argument. You're just making claims. This is just to let you know you're in the minority among men: More than half of men believe women wear make-up to trick them into thinking they're attractive, study reveals https://www.independent.co.uk/life-style/make-makes-you-more-attractive-half-men-believe-women-trick-yougov-study-reveals-a7713261.html

The whole concept of going your own way is the opposite of stagnation in my mind. After all, MGTOW means you are going somewhere. Where you're going is up to you, but you're going somewhere.
/r/MGTOW228/04/21 10:04 AM

MGTOW is self-actualization. Going to a MGTOW forum to argue that self-actualization isn't real is like going to Tony Robbins forum to argue that self-improvement isn't real. Why even waste your time with that? How can you even conceptualize MGTOW without calling it self-actualization?
/r/MGTOW222/03/21 05:49 AM
0

What are you doing on a MGTOW forum if you don't believe in free will? In my mind, that's like posting on a fishing forum without believing fish are real. There's no going your own way without free will. It can't happen.

According to whom besides you? Who or what replaced it?
/r/MGTOW221/03/21 09:30 PM

we become more than just animals. That's a prerequisite to being MGTOW in my mind. The main thing that separates people from others animals is our free will. It takes far more free will than average to be MGTOW in my view, so I believe just by being MGTOW we're going far beyond most humans in terms of free will, and humans are already far beyond all other animals in terms of free will.

The reason I asked you for a source is because you won't find any credible scientific source for that statement that I requested it from you. What are the Maslow needs of a spider??? MGTOW is about men. Why would you be putting down MGTOW by making a silly argument like that? The way I see it is MGTOW is a process of self-actualization because it's about breaking free from everyone and everything and going your own way, and I can't think of a higher form of self-actualization than that. How coul…
/r/MGTOW221/03/21 08:00 PM

Maslow hierarchy of needs is about your prefrontal cortex, the thing that generates consciousness that comes with all those needs What is your source for that claim? evolution is everything the body too That statement makes me think you don't believe in free will. Is that right? If that's the case, how can you believe in MGTOW? MGTOW requires free will.
/r/MGTOW221/03/21 07:43 PM
1

What are your sources for those claims? Even if those claims are true, how do they help to answer question "Does Maslow's hierarchy of needs contradict the theory of evolution?"
/r/MGTOW221/03/21 07:38 PM
-2

My point was to compare it to biological evolution. You're lying. This is what you wrote. Maslow “needs” pretty much have validity with food, water, shelter, and after that it becomes subjective opinion. In order to believe that, you have to believe that the entire MGTOW movement is a fraud. Are you just here to troll?
/r/MGTOW221/03/21 05:55 PM
-3

Why would you post on a MGTOW forum that self-actualization is just a want and not a need? That's just so unMGTOW that it doesn't belong here, and I hope your post is downvoted to oblivion.
/r/MGTOW221/03/21 05:25 PM
1

So men who make "collective choices" are not mgtow. The definition in the original post doesn't say that no "collective choices" are allowed. It just says that you can't be MGTOW without making some individual choices, and that's an obvious fact. I'm blocking you now because this is a waste of time.
/r/MGTOW208/01/21 02:07 PM
1

I'm not answering any of your questions until you answer the one I asked you first: What are the limitations to the definition in the original post? I don't care if you think all definitions have limitations. I want to know what the limitations are in the definition in the original post. Your opinion about all definitions isn't relevant to the discussion, but the definition in the original post is.
/r/MGTOW208/01/21 01:33 PM
1

Says the one looking to put mgtow in a box, by "defining" it. Just because there's a definition doesn't mean there are limitations. What are the limitations to the definition in the original post? My hope with this thread is to have a debate like this. I think the debate is moot because the definition of MGTOW is in the name. However, everyone doesn't agree on that point, so the debate is necessary in my view.
/r/MGTOW208/01/21 12:48 PM
1

I can't find that definition anywhere but your post here. Why would anyone put the word women in a definition of men going their own way? How does any man have the right to tell any other man how to be MGTOW (as long as it's about legal activities)? Why would anyone want to put limitations on what MGTOW can be (as long as it's about legal activities)?
/r/MGTOW208/01/21 11:45 AM

Don't fuck without using your own condoms You just lost your credibility. Even if they were completely effective which they aren't, you're not aware of how women take sperm from used condoms for artificial insemination. I could pick apart your argument, but it's pointless. I'm blocking you.

Why would men put up with women with that attitude? I'm disappointed in myself for being that way in the past. Now that I've left that behind as much as I can, I'm disappointed with all men for putting up with that.

We are animals. We can only speak ourselves about such things. I believe I'm a spirit having a physical existence, but I can't prove it. I can't speak for anyone else either. I can't even prove that you nor I exist. Solopsism can never be disproven.

I don't really understand the predicament here. I didn't explain that part because I wanted the description of the situation to be as broad as possible. My hope was that everyone could relate easier and decide what they would do in such a situation.

I still don’t understand what this post is about It's a poll to see what each person would do. just make a second channel and upload the MGTOW video to that. Then I'll lose the comments, the YouTube search ranking, and the prestige of having over 5000 views. That would be a betrayal of the MGTOW community to me. Those comments are precious.

How is this song blue pill to you? I called it a "blue pill dreaming" video. What I mean by that is that I allow myself to go back to the mentality I used to have before I was red pilled and look at all of this stuff with rose colored glasses thinking that women are angels.

My guess is it's more biological than cultural because MGTOW is increasing in popularity in cultures all over the world. I think it's a spiritual evolution more than anything. Why do you care about whether the evolution is biological, cultural, or spiritual?

That's a weird conclusion to draw. I have lots of hope. I have hope for myself. How do you have "lots of hope" in women as a red-pilled man? Women are half of humanity, and if the vast majority of them are corrupt and a good percentage of men are too (blue-pilled simps), how do you have hope in humanity in general? But try to find some music that has some semblance of masculinity. The whole point of this is enjoying the dream of what women portray themselves as. That comment is senseless in this…

Just putting MGTOW in a sentence doesn't make it a MGTOW concept, how is this any different from the general population? I'm asking a relevant question for this subreddit. Are you sowing seeds of fear and doubt? I don't see how because this topic concerns a reality that we all face. It's completely foolish not to look at a train coming straight at you because it makes you afraid. Since you're not wiser than that, I'm blocking you.

You may be right that it may be a power thing for some people, but I doubt it is for the majority of people. I think any woman who refers to makeup as "war paint" is admitting it's about power. If you don't know how common it is for women to refer to makeup as "war paint", there's no point in continuing this discussion.
/r/MGTOW226/08/19 11:06 AM

You're lying again because I mentioned men's makeup in the original post, and psychology is what this thread is about not makeup.
/r/MGTOW226/08/19 09:42 AM

Pretty sure this isn't psychology, it's a shitty tabloid article. This thread isn't a tabloid. The original post isn't an article. Let's not lie to ourselves I'm not the one lying here. This is a MGTOW subreddit discussion about human psychology. I've never seen anyone state the need for peer-reviewed studies in any MGTOW discussion. We couldn't openly discuss anything related to MGTOW under such conditions.
/r/MGTOW226/08/19 09:31 AM

I used to question this also. But people just want to look their best and feel attractive. I've dressed up in a nice suit occasionally, and it does make a difference. I wasn't looking to attract someone, but I quite liked some admiring stares (though perhaps I imagined most of them) that came my way. You just described exactly what I was referring to. Dressing up gave you added power.

Worrying what car other people drive, or jobs they have and makeup???? Really, bro, you may possibly need to reassess your life path. Knowledge is power. There's nothing more important than that in life. You can't successfully do anything without it.

So you are paying for makeup for women who don't need it? I never did that specifically. How is it relevant? I don't think you understand what MGTOW means. What's the definition? Who has the authority to create a definition? I know you don't know what it means if you think there's a definition.
/r/MGTOW226/08/19 08:47 AM

I deal with this every day because I live in regular society with everyone else. A better answer for everyone is "knowledge is power." And... Ummm, maybe the question is why do you as a man , who is not paying for it, care? Although I'm not in a romantic relationship, I have female friends whom I treat to do things. I consider them to be the type I was discussing in the original post. I don't know what the "it" you mentioned was referring to, but I do pay alright for something. I do it for my me…

I have met met women who are beautiful without make up who were insecure though. You can't give me one example? I can do better than that. Katy Perry put the line "You think I'm pretty without any makeup on" in her song "Teenage Dream." She was exhibiting a lot of insecurity there. With that said, whether or not she's beautiful without makeup is a hotly contested issue, so the example may be moot.

I've never known a woman who was beautiful without makeup being insecure about her looks. If it happens because of insecurity "most of the time", then you should have no trouble finding one clear example. Please give a source other than yourself for that.

Quit making excuses for a bad parent. Prison has nothing to do with it, time has nothing to do with it and location has nothing to do with it. This is what you're doing. Well, ya, nobody can parent well from prison. But if the relationship was forged early and there were clear lines drawn about what behavior does and does not get rewarded, this crying would probably not happen. You're not stupid; you know why she's crying. Crying for no reason at all or over almost nothing is part of growing up for a woman.

California is right with New York as the most totalitarian states/countries in the world. Do not use MGTOW as an excuse to shirk your responsibilities, it is quite literally the opposite of that. It depends on where you live. If you truly believe that men aren't allowed to be affectionate towards their female children, then I would suggest you are living with the same sort of irrational fear that these feminists live with. /r/MGTOW223/08/19 07:22 AM

Sure, but, you didn't mention "when" or "why" she has these crying events. It matters. My mother said my brother-in-law always yells at my niece and tells her to stop crying whenever she cries regardless of the reason. I'll add that detail to the original post. But if you believe he's just a bad parent Thirty years ago I would have said he's a bad parent. Now I say parents must stay out of prison to be good parents.

Crying a lot is part of being a teenage girl, and it's really part of being a girl of any age. Any parent should know that. You've sorta claimed it twice I did not claim MGTOW is about celibacy at all (I didn't even hint at it in any way). Was I not correct in christianity not being mgtow like your original statement was? "Christianity is a MGTOW religion." That's the conclusion I'm advocating in this thread. MGTOW is about actions over beliefs. Jesus went his own way from the start of his life. Can you debunk anything in the following article? https://www.desiringgod.org/interviews/five-ways-jesus-changes-our-relationship-to-the-old-testament If we take an empirical approach (rather than a dogmatic approach) to examining Jesus' life, we see he was a rebel against everything in this world including the Old Testament. I can't think of anything more MGTOW than that.
/r/MGTOW222/08/19 08:56 AM

Your reply seems self-contradictory. The last sentence seems to disprove the rest of what you wrote about marriage and procreation in Christianity. mgtow is about living for yourself, not living for others, including deities. How can anyone tell someone else how to go their own way? Any limitations that are put on it are invalid.

I reposted the original post of this thread without using the word cliche: https://www.reddit.com/r/TrueOffMyChest/comments/crlhrn/this_video_scares_me_part_2/ Let's see if I'm still accused of "hate" now. Let's summarize all that. It's basically the worst of all the cliches. It was this part that got me accused of "hate." It apparently hangs on the meaning of the word cliche. Claiming something is a cliche is not the same as claiming it's true. I gave you an explanation of why MGTOW seems like a "pity party." It's because it's not what it seems on the surface. It's a coping mechanism that seems like a "pity party." I started a "daily red pill" thread today: https://www.reddit.com/r/MGTOW2/comments/crjjxp/just_look_and_listen/ It must be just "opinion", right? Please debunk it then.

Why do so many of you guys choose to get bitter rather than getting better? I've wondered why so many guys need a daily red pill fix like watching a Sandman video every day. It's because they get horny every day, and they need a daily red pill fix to keep them on focused on reality rather than letting their bodies get them carried off to blue pill delusions. It's not a matter of being "bitter" for most of them but just a matter of staying focused on reality and keeping their feet on the ground.

Why do so many of you guys choose to get bitter rather than getting better? Our bodies force us to think about sex, so it's a constant struggle to resist it. If you're purple pill, it's a lot harder than being red pill because you can fall back into blue pill thinking a lot easier.

Reality is a good judge. If a news organization were too loose with the facts when it comes to quoting people, they would be sued out of business for libel relatively quickly.

No one can read everything. I think Vice is a responsible news organization, and they wouldn't lie about something like that. The real questions are: Does /r/MGTOW belong on that list? Should the posters on /r/MGTOW2 refrain from discussing women to protect this subreddit?

How would having a doll or jacking off require self deception? I can only speak for myself. I have never used a sex doll, but anything like this requires me to idolize women to some extent. That requires a blue pill relapse for me. What exactly do you define as a blue pill relapse? I defined that in the original post of this thread. And what do you consider to be redpill? My rough definition of red pill for MGTOW would be thoroughly understanding where you stand legally, traditionally, and biolo…

I mean, couldn’t one basically just do a much less extreme version of “pump-and-dump”? Strip clubs are a good solution for me because I don't need sex. I just need to let myself enjoy female eye candy in a blue pill relapse haze. Self-deception is necessary in that for me because intellectually I would just think about the women as being pathetic and therefore not appealing at all.

The vast majority of religionists (Christians, Muslims, Jews, Buddhists, Hindus, etc.) all disagree with your view. They all see human life as a test for some kind of afterlife. I think if you keep lust or desire in, just buy a doll or jack off. I can't do anything like that without self-deception. For a red pilled heterosexual man to do those things, it's got to involve a blue pill relapse to some extent. Part of the point I'm trying to make is that blue pill relapses can't happen without self-deception. Is self-deception ever moral?

Animal House is a great snapshot of a group of young MGTOW I look at fraternities as essentially being almost as bad as the military when it comes to dominating someone's life. If you like Castaway so much I can't think of another film that's so purely MGTOW. A man has to take responsibility for everything in his life. He has to face the world alone (as we all do ultimately). He has certain flaws and shortcomings and those things could kill him if he doesn't adapt to his surroundings quickly enough. He succeeds through all of that, and by facing all of those challenges he frees himself from his mental slavery and his invisible chains. I think The Shawshank Redemption i…

it doesn't take much to misinterpret and twist the meaning of any song. There's nothing in the song or the music video that would lead anyone to think the song's about drug addiction. It's very easy to "misinterpret and twist" a song meaning such as Madonna's song "Like a Virgin." Forget the song title – "Like a Virgin" is not about losing your virginity. In fact, the song, written by Billy Steinberg, was about how he was left "emotionally battered" after a failed relationship but then ended up …

Please read the other side to the story (apparently) below. Look at the music video. There's not a hint in it that the song is about drug addiction. It looks like a standard teen romantic video except for the children dancing (and that makes sense given the children singing in the song). The fact that the song was taken as a typical love song when it was released supports the argument in the original post of this thread. In other words, it's completely expected and accepted that women will think…

F for Fake requires some thinking to understand. You may even wonder why I recommended it to you. You have to open your mind because it's an examination of how the micro extrapolates to the macro in society. It's the same topic as They Live, but it's said indirectly for the most part.

A bunch of people advertising how rich and popular they are to other people. That's from the YouTube comment section for the video. Entitlement, legacy, responsibility, loneliness, expectations.... or it just happens and they own up to it. That's not what I meant by qualified. I think it's important because if we start putting limitations on what qualifies as MGTOW, then the entire point of it (freedom) will be lost. MGTOWs like to say, "MGTOW is freedom." There's no freedom when someone else is telling you what's an acceptable way for you to be MGTOW and what isn't.

It's not women's fault that they're raised and pressured to be fake their whole lives. They're victims of society.
