Recently, I've read an article about the people between the ages of 18 and 35. 25% of them were married, 4% divorced & just under 70% living on their own or with their parents. Co-habitation? Less than 5%. And why would that be? Because considering the "quality" of women in the West where well over 50% of whom are either fat, obese, on psycho medications (i.e. crazy), STDs-ridden, feminists (ugly & crazy) or combination of those, any half-decent woman will either be a concubine to the "top" 1-2% of men or will demand the "ring on her finger" from the men she either considers average or above average (that's top 20% of men minus those 1-2% "very top" according to the females and which means that 80% of us are below average, lol) . But those "average" men actually have options and will not put that ring on some finger. That's why the relationships among the Millennials do not last.

MGTOW is "no marriage and no cohabitation" for the very reasons you suggest: keeping the government out of your relationship. MGTOW isn't separatism. You can still date, have sex, even a committed relationship. Just avoid legal entanglements. Don't make a contract with someone who can benefit by breaking that contract.

The only thing you need to avoid in your current state is cohabitation or obviously worst, going forward with marriage. Also understand that if things became a little pitiful between you both, she still can push legal claims of assault or rape against you, so remember to get some evidence if you get into fights, and never loose it and text horrible things that may falsely incriminate you, into something you didn’t do.
