Morning guys, as promised yesterday, I'd post an image of one of the smaller boxes. Have built six of these also.

They are 16X24X12 inches. And two of them are a perfect fit on or under the larger size shown yesterday.

The reason I did that is standard pallet dimensions are 42X48, So I can literally stack these two sizes on pallets, and have about ten inches on one side for odd sized boxes like for my mountain bike or gardening tools etc.

I will be building more boxes when done with this first dozen. My goal is to be able to ship everything that I own on two pallets. Or one standard long pallet. If I have to go that route, would build my own pallets and custom strap steel banding system with threaded rod tighteners.

Meaning that it would be a substantial system that any shipper would readily accept as palletized freight.

Which would save me enough over the costs of movers for loose household items to pay for the box project.

Also the palletized system could be hauled in a standard full sized pickup intact.

This system would work well for the guys working internationally. The ability to move their stuff between any two points on the planet, more affordably and securely.

I've designed the boxes where I can attach the lids with four screws. If those screw heads are painted over to match the box color, would take serious destruction to figure out or get into the boxes for pilferers.

Also I would install blind hinges and hasps and padlocks. ie theyd have to breakdown the pallets, cut the locks, and then wonder why the lids didn't open. 😂

Anyway... just wanted to share this concept with y'all so you could adapt for personal use. I'm currently painting boxes and filling them as I clean and dry things.

Its nice watching the clutter turn into organization and handy portability.

And having the boxes as benches and coffee tables etc..
