In tomato sauce, the hot sauce ones are overpowering and dilute the flavour of whatever I plan to use. Also sweet chilli sauce sardines are godlike.

Sardines are good i usually eat them with hot sauce there's this really good brand of canned sardines I think it's a Mexican brand, they are covered in this tasty spicy tomato sauce, it makes for a really good small meal or snack. But when it comes to fish, I love me some good fried Bangus 😋

I'm not into sardines but i eat 1 can of mackeral in olive oil daily, just an fyi the healthiest oil to have is olive oil in these cans and avoid soybean, vegtable etc as they cause inflammation.

A lot have a mix of vegtable and olive oil and it's quite aggravating.

I like the mustard sauce.

But sometimes I want my own sauce and just get them packed in water.

Mostly, I put sardines in pasta or a sandwich with lettuce, tomatoes, and onions.

sardines? i cant say that i go for sardines when i want fish because its not a main course.

for me seafood is determined by how i want it cooked as a main course. if i'm craving trout its because i'm thinking of it grilled. if i'm craving clams it because i'm thinking of it steamed, if i'm craving cod its because i'm thinking of it fried. i dont care about seafood soups or savory preps because none of its for a main course.

In olive oil- the wild planet pacific canned because they’re slightly smoked and look like actual fish compared to the ones in bumblebee brand cans.

I don’t really care about the fat content because weight regulation and fat loss mostly come down to avoiding high sugar food and drinks, and junk food with lots of fat and calories.

Be careful of those packed in "olive oil". A lot of them say "olive oil" but they are actually a combination of olive and vegetable oils. Best to get them in brine or spring water.

I tried to buy some sardines in bulk at Ali Baba, but the only amount that I found that are in olive oil and can be eaten in three years by eating a reasonable amount per day were from Starkist. And, after a couple of emails, the sales guy went missing in action.

Any idea where one can get bulk sardines in olive oil for under a dollar a can, in an amount that can be eaten in under three years?
