You know for life (especially now) it's a crossing especially when you see the MGTOW movement, and as far as I can tell you either, go with the blue pill word, or follow your own road. People who have followed their own road will have a harder time getting along and getting ahead. But will remain much more stable and generally happy lives. Whilst the other road, which is promised to be the road of truth, this hopeful journey, this love life experience we all so hope to achieve seems a bit of bullshit story. because it either ends in a divorce, loss of your kids, loss of your assets, alot of emotional/financial stress (because of the taking care part of the family) while enjoying few or none at all of the benefits of family. So I rather choose a somewhat harder life for myself than hope for some bullshit daydream to come out (10-13% of marriages are noted to be statisfactory). if you think you can beat the odds be my guest. as for me I'm going my own way.

Ultimately if you can accept that MGTOW is the better way of life, you can satisfy yourself by means.
Hobbies, work, fapping, whatever. ;P

How can you be happy, knowing you will never be a World War II hero?

I'm going to live the rest of my life alone, but not in loneliness. That is how.
It is not an expression of resignation to me. It is one of breaking free from traditional programming that binds a lot of us, using shaming and other modern forms of manipulation. "You're a boy who never grew up", "You're a manlet that shirks responsibilities", "why don't you have a girlfriend?" a lot o stuff floats around out there. I'm not a MGHOW of obligation. I am a MGHOW of my own accord. And it subtracts nothing from me.

The statement of MGTOW being the cure, is merely a statement that not conforming to society's expectations. As far as being alone, nothing wrong with it. Yes in the beginning its hard embracing the fact that you are alone, but what you soon realize is that the freedom that you get is simply something that cannot be replaced. The ability to do what you what when you want is frankly something I would never give up.

does it not dispirit you people knowing you're going to live the rest of your life with nobody by your side?
It does not for me, but it did for quite some time. It's been a journey for me getting to a place of peace on this matter. I'm glad you brought it up, because I think this should be discussed more. Humans are social animals and the need for intimacy is hard-wired into us. Being MGTOW means, for many of us, going against our own nature. To me this means that we need to put forth extra effort to maintain our emotional health and happiness, beyond what others may. There's a lot I can say about this. I've been meaning to make a long post on this and other subjects in the hope of starting more discussion on these important topics. I need to get off my ass and make the time to put them together. Thanks again for raising this.
I was just listening to Marcus on metaphysics of MGTOW and thinking a post needed to be done on the interface between anger and acceptance.
There is a time where each man will go through a certain amount of disillusion like the OP is alluding to, to some it's too much to bear and they either go back to the plantation somehow, off themselves, or manage to give the brain time to accept it.
Then it's good, very good.
To the OP, it takes either a good deal of suffering or a good deal of listening to understand MGTOW. Have a listen to https://youtu.be/FDm--iVD6n0 (sorry for format, on phone) to understand more about the Genesis of a MGTOW. It's coming from a philosophical perspective.
All the best.
Life has no easy answers, nor does your perfectly valid question. MGTOW doesn't mean monk. Not to me that is, but you have to be smarter and harder about hooking up or future marriage. Did you know for example you might be allowed to have additional contracts beyond the usual to protect your assets? That's for example one thing.
OP deleted a good question. Too bad. Maybe uncomfortable.
