The problem is that kids using the word simp without actually knowing the concept. When a term goes mainstream, it loses it's potency, sort of how calling someone Nahtzee or racist has lost it's potency for example.

However, I don't think this will happen, as simp has been used for a very long time. And so far I've seen only appropriate use of the term simp even from zoomers.

Simp has been a term since at least the 70's to my knowledge. I never really gave it a second thought.

I think it's was an originally a PuA term. But I agree with the sentiments in the replies. I dont use it. When describing its intent, I tend to use the word blue-piller. I also use the term 'normie' I'm sure having watched so much of Stardusk's content. Obviously this vocabulary is internal for me. Dont really know anyone in real life that I could utter these with.
