Like many, I have gone through periods where I renewed my dues in the Alfalfa and Spanky He-Man Woman Haters Club, usually after I perceived I felt I had been wronged by some vile venomous vixen, or after watching a few minutes of The View, but hating women for being like they are is akin to hating water for being wet. As I slip into my mid fifties I have become more philosophical about thoss exotic and little understood creatures. One must view women through the lens of biology, history, and physiology. Only very recently in our advanced modern societies have women gained the realistic ability to successfully provide for themselves and their offspring when for millenia they depended on a male to provide for them. A short dive into the cesspit of r/femaledatingstrategy shows you that the biological drive to find a good malleable provider is still alive and kicking, along with a healthy dose of "all men are pigs" thrown in. Now in fairness I can't really fault them for their disdain of men in general, but that is for another day. In our "enlightened" advanced society women still look for a good provider in their prospective mate even if it is an anachronistic evolutionary holdover. The problem with that is we have been bombarded all of our lives with some take on the "female empowerment" ethos to the point where we have become bitter about the cost levied on us after a marriage turns into Krakatoa. We feel victimized by a society that preaches equality of the sexes while at the same time it reaches for our wallet. Blaming women for being driven to find the 'perfect' provider is a losing game, it is just how they are wired, as we are wired to look at some buxom beauty bouncing by.
