Yes we will. Death is life and that is perfectly okay. I believe we fear death because we don’t know what comes after. Humans hate not knowing what is going to happen. Ironically, in our everyday life, we never truly know what will happen next. We just trick ourselves because we are a species of patterns.
Love it and live life while you have it. I’m willing to bet that when we die, our experience of “life” will probably improve. Whether it’s “heaven” or we reincarnate.

How do you reckon? I, like most people, harbor an irrational hope that we survive our physical death somehow. But It just doesn't make sense when I'm honest with myself.

Honestly I believe death will be like sleep. No information being processed so there’s no input and output. Pure tranquility.
That’s just one idea.
Yes I would say most people have an irrational hope that “life” continues. Maybe it does, in a way that we are not able to comprehend. Maybe it doesn’t. Its like anxiety we get when we move to a new state or start a new job. We are anxious about what will happen. Once it happens we realize our anxiety may have been exaggerated and we adjust. Death is the next step of life. I don’t fear it anymore.

And in a reassuring way, I realize I am part of a whole.
Without the plants, I have no oxygen to breathe. Without me, the plants have no C02 to breathe.
Just like the single ant is useless on its own. The colony is what make the ant hill thrive.
The universe is bound by energy. Can’t be created or destroy, we just change in form. Whatever form that is, we are all essential to the big picture.
So basically even in death, when my atoms decay, they will attach to other atoms and create something else. If this is the case, do we ever truly “die?”

memento mori, guys. easier said then done anyways. i have a memento mori coin medallion that I always keep in my pocket as a reminder of the inevitable end. all is changing and the only constant in life is change. so we should accept things as they are. try to focus on things in our control and leave the rest in the hands of Fortuna.
