I know the MRP mantra is LIFT, but you need more than just lifting.

  1. Posture. Standing up straight will make you look more confident, even if you're not. /r/posture is ok, but I found youtube more helpfull.

  2. Get moving! Something like 5BX is the minimum amount of activity. If you haven't already started, go do the bottom level now. It will only take 3 minutes, I'll wait.

  3. Lift! If you can't lift iron, lift a sack of lard. The most important thing is to lift your butt off the couch. If the local gym is too far/expensive get a pullup bar, diy a suspension trainer, and subscribe to /r/bodyweightfitness.

I've dropped 10kg in 2 months, but the thing which turned my SOs head was when I started working on my posture.
