Men do shit. So learn how to do shit

I suggest making it part of your mission (and for those who are having trouble finding their mission) to learn how to do everything you could possibly need to learn.

  • cook food/meat properly
  • start a fire like a pro
  • do laundry properly
  • open a wine bottle without a cork screw
  • fix your sink
  • fix anything and everything’s around the house
  • change your oil and brakes
  • tie a great knot on a fishing hook
  • what to do if you get pulled over
  • what to do if your car is getting towed and you catch it happening

You get the picture. Anything you would need someone else to do for you learn it. Learn little life hacks. I realized all the hours I “wasted” on the Internet learning some of this shit has really paid off. YouTube and google can teach you anything. If you’re going to waste time. It might as well be leaning hair on YouTube. Then it isn’t really time wasted. Random problems will pop up and I will have stupid otherwise useless knowledge on how to solve them so it isn’t so useless after all.

Not only does this make you feel empowering as a man. Knowing you need no one for anything when it comes down to it. It’s a great way to provide value not only to your wife and kids but the people around you.

It makes you the prize because you literally don’t need anyone for anything. This also puts the pressure on your wife knowing you are capable of handling everything.

This doesn’t necessarily mean you need to DO Everything. There may come times where it’s more cost/time efficient to hire someone else but knowing deep down that YOU CAN handle it if it came down to it adds to your overall value.

Be curious, ask questions if you see someone doing something you don’t know how to do. Not only are they usually more than willing to teach and talk about it. You’re also improving your social skills. Becoming well rounded like this also allows your brain to solve problems in other areas you may not be familiar with. It teaches your brain to connect pathways to solve problems in similar areas.
