A child support solution?

I like to believe that the majority of single/separated parents, mothers and fathers, do right by their children and I think it prudent not to generalize about them.

That being said, what you are describing is less of a gendered phenomenon and more of a socioeconomic one. Most single parents come from middle or lower income families. Those demographics are more likely to instill unfavorable financial behaviors, like immediately spending a sizable windfall on unneeded junk instead of investing or impulsive buying. So spending it all now on stuff you don't need but can rationalize later happens, especially if you can trick yourself into thinking its for the kids(ie: Getting myself a Mercedes is good for the kids because we needed a new car). The behaviors can be observed in both women and men from the same economic strata.

As far as reform goes, child support will exist until society reaches the point where excess production allows governments to extend welfare to include the basic needs of everyone. At this point, having achieved a utopian society, child support will be discarded as an archaic, useless practice. Call me a cynic but I don't see it ever happening, mgtow is the only way that makes sense anymore.

won't work, they (the government) will come back and rob you for more if she squanders it because robbing you will be "in the best interest of the child".

the best child support solution is to have a camera, and assume you will get divorced. simply start documenting her being unstable, a bad example, a poor planner, etc. if you get divorced later, bring in all of that evidence and simply claim that it is in the best interest of the child for you to have full custody and her to pay child support to you.
