I replied in detail in the survey itself.

In your first question: "Traditional definitions of masculinity include "physical dominance, social importance and financial achievement". What terms would you use to describe the modern man?

The "traditional definition" is the issue. It leaves out protecting loved ones, putting ones own health and safety to risk for family/country, and the legal responsibility to provide. You are just looking at the "dark" side of a historical issue with that question alone. Masculine is not a flaw, and your thesis gives every indication of proceeding from that premise.

Were things unfair for women in the past? Of course they were. Were things unfair for men in the past? Of course they were. Exploring all facets of the past, what rights AND responsibilities people had to deal with and how it broke down by gender. Just focusing on the hardships of one particular group, while ignoring any context or hardships other groups face will always give a distorted view of history.

In my circle of friends this is the norm. I'm not sure if they're on reddit or any other MRM forums discussing it, we don't talk about that, but every man I know in my age group shares many of the views of the MRM and is tired of a lot of the ignorant shit that is happening.

I would argue that if your sample group were under 30, most men would be sympathetic to the goals and views of the MRM, regardless of whether they even know it exists or not.

Hell, I know a lot of older women who are pretty irritated with the current state of affairs as it concerns men, and most of them weren't even allowed to wear pants when they started in the workforce.

These views are waay less fringe than most seem to be aware of. There is just a lot of silent support because there are still big social consequences for men who take certain stances.
