A while ago, I invited several of my friends to watch the Red Pill. One female friend of mine in particular seemed shaken by the movie. From what I can guess, it seems like she has been exposed to a lot of the feminist messages but haven't really considered issues that men face. Flash forward and I was recently in a conversation with several women at a professional networking event, and this friend was with me. One woman (that neither of us really knew) was talking about her work on gender equity in her city, talking about advancing women's employment outcomes (e.g., increasing women in STEM fields). My female friend asked this woman what she thinks of, or plans to do something about, the fact that many dangerous jobs are occupied by men and that men are more likely to die on the job than women. I know this is small, but I think it's a small win. People can change perspectives, start asking questions, start wondering about what they've been told all along.
