I’m in a sticky spot and I’m not sure what to do about it. I’m not really even sure this is the right place to post, but, I’m not really sure where to else to go.

Recently, my wife and I had to move out of state to care for my step-father who is in home hospice. My mother is disabled and unable to assist.

My wife recently expressed concerns regarding my step-father’s bathroom habits making her a bit uncomfortable. She stated he only ever needs to use the urinal when it’s only her in the room (he can’t go to the bathroom by himself - he needs someone to hold him in the urinal) and she doesn’t like that he pushes his face into her chest to balance during his workouts (I have to hold him up and she has to hold him steady).

This has been ongoing for a few weeks now and everything came to a head tonight when my mom joked to my wife my step-father would enjoy if she wore tops that showed more during his workouts. I didn’t think it was a big deal, but now my wife seems really upset.

I’m not really sure what to do about it. He needs to go to the bathroom and she can’t hold him up like I can. So, I told her she just needs to ignore it and get through it. She said she wants to go home because she feels uncomfortable, but I need her to help my step-father. I can’t do it alone.

Again, this might not be the best place to ask, but I need some unbiased opinions.
