I am hoping to get a grant to prepare materials on consent, rape, and related issues. These will target men and boys ages 15-21.

I am a statistician, and I have worked in finance for a couple years. A lot of my work has been spent digesting and preparing comprehensive summary materials, as well as investigating root effects, developing explanatory models, etc.

Obviously, although I won't really emphasize it in my grant applications, I am hoping to put a men's rights spin on the material (at the very least presenting accurate facts on the state of rape and allegations).

Does anyone have any advice on or ideas about

  • good things to include on my application?

  • where I should send grant applications?

  • how payment works in these cases?

  • my likelihood of being approved?

  • how much I should ask for (I'm hoping for a daily or hourly rate that I would multiply by how long I think it would take me...)? Should I base it on a lower rate than what my salary works out to?

  • whether they can take back their money if I provide what I promised to provide, but they don't like it?
