I think that these should be abolished, because either way is still teaching students that one gender is better than the other, by refusing to educate one. But I've seen a lot more all-girls' schools than I have all-boys' schools (when driving past, hearing of them, etc.).

My parents' friend (a mother) once told me that they only send their two children (who just happen to be girls) to an all-girl private school. I asked her why she used sexist schools for her daughters, and she said that it's not sexist, because 'girls tend to perform better in all-girl schools'. I tried asking her for sources or evidence, and she explained how they 'tend to have higher grades'. Even if this is true, and I'm not saying for a moment that it is, how does she know it's not because they get more funding from people like her? These still exist today, and should be abolished.

There's also the uncomfortable fact that Boy Scouts is now just 'Scouts', but Girl Scouts is still Girl Scouts. They were able to dodge the sexism-bullet by saying, 'Research shows that girls learn best in an all-girl, girl-led, and girl-friendly environment' while conveniently having lost the sources for this 'research', just like my parents' friend. Isn't the same true of boys? I mean, this is the same as having the infamous 'Female' and 'Unisex' bathrooms which r/MensRights likes to call metaphors for society. I get that there's still a disproportionality and there are many more boys than girls, but they have their own version which is making an effort not to let boys in.
