I admire him for voicing his opinions knowing full well the kind of shitstorm they would cause. Whether his views are right or wrong remains to be seen. What's important is to remove the stigma associated with even discussing these topics.

It seems like he fell into the common academic trap where he did not consider his logical arguments from a social and moral viewpoint. Eugenics could be used to improve the state of humanity as a whole, but at the cost of taking the moral stance that it is mktally acceptable to ban certain people from breeding. It also ignores the social stigma of bringing up eugenics after the context by which it has been performed in the past.

Claims of racial superiority in one way or another are exceptionally difficult to prove in most cases due to an inability to determine if causes are biological, social, or the result of bias in the testing procedures.

I would say that he does indeed to be sexist and racist, but nit from any malice. He simply formed an incorrect hypothesis based on insufficient data.
