What I think is that you first need to define "equality". Can they be the same? No. Can have they have the same legal rights? Yes. Can they have the same social expectations? Eventually, but not without a LOT of careful social engineering, and not for a very long time.

Of course. Human Rights were created for this very reason in the 18th century. Why the West is deciding to shit on them today to please blue-haired psychopaths is beyond me though

It can, you just need people to believe in it, people will believe in anything if you repeat it enough times and convince them that they will feel accepted in society for embracing such a belief.

The downside of people being npc sheeps instead of rational and objective beings is that you need enormous power, money and influence to spread your ideologies.

If people were rational, we could just have small debates and whichever belief sounds the most rational would automatically be adopted. No lobbying, no campaign, no propaganda costing millions of dollars.
