I'm seeing the same talking points after this trial, which tends to be "at least she brought attention to a problem." That might be a good thing for women, for the accused party of men it's destructive. It follows the pattern that it's OK to drag men through the mud if a case brings attention to the plight of women, even if they mud dragging wasn't appropriate for this specific group of men. The question of guilt is less and less important when you define success as advertising a problem...pick anyone you want.
