Hoping someone here can possibly provide some insight. I live in Indiana, my ex wife and our children live in Illinois. There is a court order in place, in Indiana court, yet Illinois seems to do whatever they please. For example, there is an agreement to pay 25 bucks a week to cover support that is in arrears. Today I get a letter from a collection agency threatening me with fees and late charges if I don't pay full amount. The order also states 75% of my tax return was to be given to her, Illinois took everything. How is this possible? I talked to a lawyer, they can't explain it, Indiana clerk says Indiana has jurisdiction, Illinois dept. of child support says no, they have jurisdiction. How is it possible that nobody can give me a straight answer? How is it possible for the system to continue to screw over fathers? What can I do, if anything?
