I live with 3 of my children (ages 2, 7, and 8) along with their mother. She has a nasty habit of not cleaning or throwing away trash and leaving it on the floor. She has copious amounts of trash and clothing piled in her room. For this reason, i don't enter or sleepin her room. In addition she berates my 8 year old with names like idiot, stupid, asshole, etc. I walked in on one of her episodes Saturday night. She was yelling at my 8 year old calling her an asshole for not following a directive. Id reached my tipping point and told her i was calling child services. Id given up on trying to keep up with her mess. Our apartment is infested with roaches and she refuses to pick up the mess. She took the kids to her mom's the next morning. Dcf arrives later in the day hostile toward me from the first sentence asking what i expected them to do. Telling me that i was responsible for cleaning after her. I told him what'd occurred the previous night and was basically called a liar because my story didn't match the children's. I suggested there was collusion as far as the story and was met with more disbelief. He then advised that the kids couldn't come back until the place was cleaned though the mess included nothing of mine. He left and i cleaned the place except for her room. She is staying with the children at her mother's. Came to the apartment this morning and grabbed clothes and left. Room still in disarray. I have no idea what to do. The last time i threatened to call cold services, she lied and had me arrested for assault. Charges ended up being dropped by the state. I do have a bit of a criminal history and am getting slaughtered by child support and cant really afford to live on my own. Not sure what to do from here. Going to file an injunction now. Any advice?
