Since it's obvious by now that they're not going away, no matter how often and vehemently Paul Elam, Karen Straughan, and Alyson Tieman fantasize out loud about a world without feminists coming to fruition, those of us who are "Post-MRM" just might be wise to adapt these words from the venerable Albert Ellis https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_rwkU8BfVgk&t=2351s for our own purposes. A few highlights:

1:15-4:03 Predilections for resisting authority aside(ideologues and dogmatists alike are usually quite fond of authority, as long as that authority is serving their needs and desires exclusively), feminists, The Woke, and even much of The MRM's current leadership fits into all those categories Ellis mentions. Especially the enjoying their symptoms/enjoying being angry constantly part

4:07-4:53 We've been taught by the handful of content creators who comprise the rockstars of The MRM that feminists and Woke Warriors are almost solely responsible for the shitty feelings so many of us experience when we hear one of these folks say something out in the wild that we disapprove of, or when we see some celebrity mouth a Far Left platitude on TV that we find objectionable. Talking here incidents like one of our office mates making a remark in passing about how he's checking his imagined white male privilege, or Amber Tamblyn spouting piss-poor logic like this in a PSA https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=C4k8Fng9DAM

Hell, The Grand Ayatollah of Red Pill Theology himself(who claims to have worked in mental health)event asserts in one of those outtakes from The Red Pill over on Cassie Jaye's channel that "Anger is a response to injustice". Turns out though, we men really aren't as helpless as we've been led to to believe by the folks who claim to speak on our behalf. Turns out, neither feminists, nor The Woke, nor the fry guy who fucked up our order at Wendy's make us hit the roof, whenever they say or do something we find distasteful. When overhearing that aforementioned colleague's passing remark about him checking his imagined white male privilege, or seeing that Tamblyn PSA, we've all the choice to be annoyed, disappointed, and regretful vs. enraged, hostile, homicidal, anxious, and depressed

5:16-5:34 We can(and probably should)change the system in which we all exist. Trying to make the planet a saner place when we ourselves are having a meltdown(which has been The MRM's preferred approach since about '15)is almost always a recipe for failure though. The fact that The MRM has achieved so very little is testament to this. By and large, we've spent the past few years LARPing as MCU superheroes, rather than acknowledging that we're really human beings, and calming our own disturbances before we try to save the world

5:45-6:25 At the risk of being redundant, when a feminist or Woke-ster say or does something annoying or obnoxious, we've got the choice to be annoyed, disappointed, and regretful that they're not behaving in a way that we'd prefer they did, vs. enraged, hostile, homicidal, and sometimes even suicidal. Even on those occasions when we do find ourselves huffy over something a feminist said or did, we've all got the power to return to being annoyed and disappointed with them

6:27-7:25 Any anger we experience derives only PARTLY(we're talking maybe 30% at the most)from feminists once again acting like a pain in the ass. Teeth gnashing rage arises from not simply saying to ourselves "I violently disagree or disapprove of what she said or did", but then following that up with internal chatter such as "She/they MUST not be as ditzy as they are", "Because those little cunts must not be as ditzy as they are, it's awful and horrible; I'll go insane if they don't start thinking and behaving the way I want them to in the next five minutes!!!", "She/they are no damned good!!!", "They'll always be as dogmatic and rigid as they are now!!!", "There's almost nothing I can do about this situation or about myself; I have to stay upset!!!"

7:25-7:57 Though I've yet to encounter any card carrying MRAs who've admitted as much, I'm fairly certain that lots of us plebs who haven't reached Red Pill Nirvana can relate to what's described here. When angry at feminists and Woke folks, it ain't uncommon to then create even further anguish for ourselves, by having thoughts to the effect of "I shouldn't allow a schmuck like her to consume this much of my bandwidth". More often than not, this just leads to us being angry at ourselves for allowing feminists to get to us. Worse yet, this a growing body of evidence indicates that this sort of thinking and reacting leads us into serious depression https://www.npr.org/sections/health-shots/2019/02/04/689747637/if-youre-often-angry-or-irritable-you-may-be-depressed

I'm not motivated enough to draw any more parallels or offer up any further adaptions of Ellis's words for our purposes at the moment. The rest of you all listen to the talk in full, and post your thoughts
