Just google American midterms and they have a chart up like with all the other elections for you to look at. The democrats won the house by a few seats, but there are still undeclared seats that need to be counted, the senate is fully under Republican control.

I'm actually quite baffled that the media are trying to already declare this a Democrat victory, well then again I'm not, they're lunatics but the fact that they're doing this so blatantly when the results are clearly in front of them is just fucking daft. It's as bad as when Jeremy Corbyn acted like he had won just because he managed to gain more seats than everyone was expecting, the Conservatives had still won overall and were able to form a government.

I think this is a similar deal here, the senate is firmly in control of the Republicans, but the house is so tight that after the seats have all been declared the Republicans would just need a few more seats and it will be like the Swedish election.

It's not really a victory for either side, Sweden is in a similar situation and they have failed to form a new government. Obviously America runs on different rules but I'm just drawing comparisons to illustrate why I think that the Democrats are in denial.
