The woman was lonely and vulnerable at the time of the offence and possibly unable to see the inappropriateness of the relationship with a child half her age.

This part pissed me off most.

I'd like to see stats on the charges, rates of conviction, and sentencing for men and women across all crimes. Does anyone have a graph? There must be some way to show the differences beyond these anecdotes.
