I am divorced now. Initially I was ordered to pay $810 a month for ONE child - the mother in this matter wanted 90% custody because she hates my family and wants more $$ obviously. The mother withheld our son from me on multiple occasions and police were called and reports were made - no arrests strangely. Paperwork was submitted to the court. Mother gets off scott free, the final award for support per month is $708, and was allowed to pretty much make the schedule. Fair to fathers? Nope. Call me a deadbeat, but I hardly ever see my kid and it's time to turn off the financial spigot that empties my pockets unfairly and makes me live on eating about $2 a day because of other bills. There's no way even when my kid is here that we can go out somewhere meaningful because all the $$ sits in my ex's pocket. I've chosen the path to ditch state and go to another and definitely won't be turning in an IWO ever again. Good luck serving me papers or finding me as I change jobs about every year anyhow. This is what happens when there are greedy baby mamas. So if you're a greedy baby mama, think about it before you decide to F the guy over just because the court system will let you. I always wondered why guys ran before, now I know and I can't blame them /endrant

The technicality is that you cannot leave if you are in arrears on the child support. Here is the link:

Here's the kicker: Child Support Enforcement will list as arrears any amount the ex thinks is necessary. In my case, Child Support Enforcement just made up a number -- 53k in my case, although I never have missed a single payment. They later confessed the 53k figure was a number they pulled out of their ass.

Women constitute about 53% of the vote, and I don't see the government becoming male-friendly anytime soon. I think it's easier to change the woman than change the government.
What will truly change the woman is if she does decide to punish the man through the courts, the following things will happen. If ex-hubby is in jail, no child support! Although ex-hubby is in jail, the government will not be picking up the tab. The children will become defective with no father. The girls will become sluts; the boys will become some beta-blue form of dysfunction. While ex-hubby is in jail, the woman gets to see all her friends' kids get the nice things, live in nice accommodations, and drive around in nice cars. Although the woman's better woman friends will publicly praise the feminism, privately she'll viewed as a defective ex-wife and a failure.
The first men will suffer, just as I was one of the first men to suffer the child support stuff. As with everything else in nature, gravity will inevitably wear down such wayward women. The smarter women are already beginning to get the message; the idiots will take longer.

I'm 55, and I think it's naive to think that the government is going to save the day -- i.e. pixie dust and unicorn farts. Men are fucked over, because very few have the balls to say no. Always blaming the women is not going to get the men out of it. It means sacrifice, and it means pain. Some men aren't going to make it.

The concept is called scorched earth. If a man cannot have the fruits of his labor, he will refuse to cooperate for the theft of said labor. Too many men are simply too willing to bend over and take it. It starts by men saying no! I've done it, and other men have done it.
If you are not willing to say no, that's between you and your maker. Going your own way is also a good way to say no. Better yet, I respect those men who stay away from relationships altogether, and this is a good choice.
