After reading news of the latest feminist attack, this time against Bill Cosby, I couldn't but help but post. I am open to suggestions or other ideas to address the issue. Let's keep this construct and positive please.
As it stands, Bill Cosby has merely been accused of misconduct dating back some 30 years. I don't want to get in to the details of the case because it is one of a laundry list of similar accusations.
The point is this, he has had a massive blow to his reputation, shows and specials have been canceled as a knee-jerk reaction. Why? Why don't those business decisions and public reactions wait until there is some kind of court case reaches a fair conclusion? How can a wild accusation be enough to stop hundred thousand, and sometimes million dollar deals?
It's because of the feminist activism machine. If the companies don't act quickly, those groups will target them and end up costing more in the end. It's a bean-counter decision, like all things in the business world.
How can those of us that support fairness and equality sit by and do nothing while this goes on? The first thing that comes to mind is a parallel movement. There must be an equal or greater movement to boycott any company or organization that makes a knee-jerk reaction to feminist claims BEFORE any court decision. This is a complete violation of civil and criminal rights. It is ethically and morally wrong, and it is changing the country and the world in dramatic ways.
Am I wrong? Do you have a better solution? (Remember to keep it polite and constructive please)
