When I was 14 I was once slapped by a snotty little 11-year-old who was raised by the type of father that practically encourages his daughter to hit men because she can get away with it. It felt like an insult because she was using social constructs to get away with what she did.

What hurts the most is when you defend yourself you get beatdown by everyone, even your friends and then insulted and dissed long after the incident is over for not being a "real man" because you hit a woman, but what i was supposed to do, nothing ?

what does it feel like

a pisstake. getting you riled up. pissing you off. mocking. infuriating.

see, now generally, the thought it wouldn't hurt has merit. as men, we are obviously a lot physically stronger. it definitely can still, and quite commonly does, hurt, but there's some merit to the idea. especially if the girl has long nails, a well placed slap could easily scratch up your face a bit too. i currently have a small scratch on my arm from an accident with a friend. even that stung. nails suck. imagining that with intention to hurt and on your face... well. but still, there's merit that it wouldn't hurt too much. do not misinterpret this though, women can cause plenty of pain with slapping.

but mostly, it's the fact it's a loophole. people dont consider all power dynamics at play. they only see the physicality dynamic. the pain doesn't bother me. but i am pissed over it. they do it because they know they'll get away with it. law enforcement doesn't care. the courts don't care. bystanders don't care. I'm expected not to care. and they know i can't retaliate without landing myself in far greater trouble. that's what pisses me off. not the slap, the entitlement and extreme confidence they'll get away with it. it's the audacity.

hell, some people find it funny or empowering when women hit men. fuck that.

When I was 14, a girl about 50 lbs heavier than me slapped me so hard I saw black spots for a couple seconds because I told her to stop making out with her bf right next to because it was super awkward. All the girls were upset with me, saying that I deserved the slap for embarrassing the girl.

One time in hs this girl annoying my f friend and was continously punching him. One punch hurt him a lot so he got pissed and punched her not hard on the face. She was crying and blubbing so much. She got no punishment, my friend got detention.

If you look at statistics, you find lesbian relationships are the most violent. Honestly, I think women are or would be just as violent with men, but it's just dismissed as some kind of joke. Some 200 pound guy that's 6 feet and some 100 pound woman that's 5'2 fighting is like letting the heavyweights fight with the featherweights. The size and strength difference makes any violence they try to dish out into a joke. Some of them might not even bother trying because of the futility of it.

You will feel powerless because you know you can't do it back to teach her consequences. In fact, she might want you to hit back to have you arrested for violence against women and girls.

Getting slapped is the minimum damage that you have to face. Further escalation will only damage you more.

Atleast between man to man, you can fight back and noone will intervene until the fight is over.

I personally don't think it's morally wrong (legal matters aside) for anyone of either sex who's been cheated on to give their partner a nice strike to the face that leaves no irreversible damage (which is generous, considering how cheating often does inflict irreversible harm on its victims).

What I don't think is fair is that ordinary people regularly justify women slapping their cheating partners while also expecting cheated-on men to exercise perfect self-control in the face of such soul-destroying betrayal (and I would argue that cheating has much greater social effects on cheated-on men than on cheated-on women, given the prevalence of the mentality of "If he cheats, it's his fault; if she cheats, it's his fault, too").
