YMCA = Young Men's Christian Association

During it's foundation, its aim was to provide healthy outlets for children and young men instead of outlets that we predominate in taverns and brothels. It was believed at the time, that spiritual stability led to better craftsmen.

The YMCA tries to provide nursing, shelter, aid and support through wartime and peacetime.

I lived at the Y for awhile. It was pretty shit but that's the nature of the beast. One 10x10 room and no visitors allowed in the room while the women's Y got an entire apartment and could have people come and go whenever they wanted
