If by incel you only mean "involuntary celibate" literally then I disagree with your sentiment.

Likewise if you merely add resentment to that definition I would still disagree. I would actually qualify for membership as an incel. I'm a wizard.

But if you mean someone who identifies with and defends the incel movement then I agree with your assessment of them as dangerously deranged.

I have not met a well adjusted person of that description. I was in an incel server and another server with incel members on Discord and they were highly toxic, supporting dictatorships and anti-semitism and bullying me and making light of the death of Bianca Devins, who was an acquaintance of mine that one of them murdered. I was supportive of incels because they had my sympathy due to the first two definitions, until I actually met them and talked with them and saw what they thought. Eventually I cut ties for my own sanity. Incels still have my sympathy but it is no longer unreserved and is now mixed with contempt.
