I don't know exactly what this sub's reaction will be to this post, and even by posting this I don't know if I'm just venting or asking for advice, but I HAVE to express my feelings.

I have had to delete my Facebook account recently because I cannot escape the constant man-shaming. There are people that demand people not judge, then turn around and call a middle school kid a fuckboi. There's women demanding that they be able to show their tits in public despite what anyone else feels about it, but calling men names for trying to get Alimony. It made me angry and hateful towards these people who constantly posted this horseshit.

If it were once every so often, it would've been fine, but it is literally all day everyday that they did this. So, with a little bit of friends on my friends list and nothing to lose, I decided to just delete it and only have a twitter to follow book release news, because I'm an introvert and don't really do anything else but read and keep to myself. Still, I deleted some of the only communications I had with the few friends I've kept just so I didn't have to deal with any of the bullshit and feel angry everyday anymore.

Then, the Goodreads award nominations came out and one of the authors I followed on twitter tweeted something stupid. Now, if you're not aware, 68% of YA authors are female and 32% are male. The awards nominations list was all female except for one, and the author was congratulating the women, saying it's awesome the women dominated the category.

Now, me being me, I can't shut my mouth. I called her out on it, saying that it was sexist, (Let's be honest, if men did that, they'd be fucking HAMMERED into the ground), and saying inequality is nothing to congratulate. Que the SJW's attacking me.

No matter where I go I cannot escape the man shaming. I can't watch tv, I can't get on social media, and it even sneaks it's way into some of the book I read. I honestly don't know what to do. I'm tired of feeling attacked and angry.

Also, a little side note. I am gay, and as long as I've lived, I've gotten more shit about being a man in the past month than I've gotten about being gay in my ENTIRE LIFE and I'm sick to death of it.
