Crosspost "Unpopular opinion, we do need change in family law in Virginia." from /r/Virginia:

Yeah it’s about time men see equality in the family law courts. A female can have an abortion if she’s not ready or in the right place to have a child, men are forced into providing for mistakes they did not want.

If a man was not married to the woman or lived in a home with her, he should be allowed a paper abortion. Men should not be forced to take care of a mistake that can ruin their lives and financially destroy them if that child was not planned.

Most Non custodial parents can tell you their lives have been ruined and destroyed completely by our juvenile relations courts and the department of child service enforcement here in Virginia.

Non custodial parents are forced to pay over 55% to 65% percent of their checks, after that they cannot survive or even pay rent! In my case I couldn’t even afford groceries.

Parents that want too be in their kids lives can not afford to take care of them because they’re paying a ridiculous inflated price that our juvenile relations courts and the DCSE come up with.

This statement is made by a man who was raised by a single grandmother who never received child support.

My Aunt also helped raise me! She was a single mother who also never received child support.

I think it’s time for family law reform in Virginia and I think it’s time we have an educated discussion on this topic Instead of being bitter and arguing about your personal beliefs. Peoples lives are being ruined, there’s is no reason people should being arguing about something you do not believe or agree with. Like I said a lot of people’s lives have been destroyed by family law, it’s not fair.

When a state collects child support, the federal government gives the state back what they collected so they can hire more Dcse agents, judges, attorneys. The biggest criminal racket a state can force into its citizens is family law!
