Pretending not to understand that "Toxic Masculinity" has become a term of abuse to demoralize boys in school or that the pay gap vanishes and sometimes reverses when you correct for people's free choices is a sign of an obvious cheat and liar.

They delight in having the power to tell obvious lies which serve as justification to further steal and demoralize and you are failing the test by calmly explaining things to them and giving them the benefit of the doubt of acting in good faith.

It should be an instant conversation ender. The only thing to do is mentally mark them as a hopeless delinquent and let them continue to burn goodwill with someone else.
