I'm from india and I completely agree with you. But man you need to be strong you need to stand up for yourself when something similar happened to me I raised my hand and called out the hypocrisy of my teacher and she felt ashamed.

Since then she never messes with anyone or shows double standards. YOU NEED TO CALL OUT. GO TO your principal and complaint.

Indian schools are pathetic, abusive places. The behavior you described is almost common and people wonder why boys from young age starts disliking and disassociate from girls.

You are just 14, ignore the social injustices, concentrate and try to study well because times ahead are going to be real tough.

All this happen only if your parents are not well connected and rich, otherwise they will not even dare to touch you.

One thing about gender double-standards in India is that when you start to notice it, you will notice it everywhere and it will take an unnecessary toll on your mind which is not at all worth it. So, understanding facts and ignoring at this moment will be better for you in the long run.

Society is too determined to make boys more disciplined from the start by making extreme measures to an extent that they are leaving other 50% population behind.

Once this gap starts extending, everybody surprises how boys are dominating in good positions of society. It is already happening, boys are taught to work hard and compete for successful job and good career path from the beginning. Now boys dominate in higher positions which society calls patriarchy and hate that.

A person who sees struggle gets success. The downside is harsh treatment against boys can also breakdown boys' emotional conscience. That's why men are at both ends of the stick.

You guys are fucked hard by two systems at once.

You got your traditional system that favors girls and women as means to advance the family across a rigid social cast based society. Using the girls for future marriages that will increase one's family wealth, status or both is common in such systems.

And that is the main reason why a girl/young woman is prized far more than boys/men. After all a boy or a man hardly can "marry up" can he?

Then, on top of that shitty system, you got the English-Anglo system of "women are to be held in highest esteem" that draws roots from their puritanical past and the "feminist woman powarr" of the modern Anglo culture.

To live in such a society as a young boy, is fucking shit.

For any of you I really hope you find your way out of that country, because as it stands now there are few signs this crap will end anytime soon.

Hey brother, I'm here for you. You can pm me if you want. I was once slapped very hard in a very early age by a female teacher. It was a moment which changed my personality. It has affected me very deeply. It's very weird that I'm venting about it for the first time after around 20 years.

From India and the Indian school system a decade ago. Until class 5 the punishment is mostly a beating on the palm with a wooden ruler - only for some unruly behaviour in class, not submitting homework and such. If you were late to the class, you would just spend the whole hour outside the classroom. That's it.

After class 5, the punishments were creative. Harder, and more beatings with the ruler, kneeling, colorful words and shaming, a visit to the principal's office, a parent-teacher meeting... Nothing was off the table. But the catch is that for the girls in the class, it always stopped with the ruler (and many cases, just a visit to the principal's office) because they're at that time of the month, and that they're sensitive.

The best personal experience: In class 11, I was in line for a ruler-whipping. The kid next to me was a tall and large boy and he kept making jokes while still in front of me for the ruler-whip. The teacher got pissed and that was the time when steel rulers were all the fad in India. She started hitting the guy left and right and he deflected one of the blows. It hit me and the sharp corner of the steel ruler grazed my left eyelid. I started bleeding, and the teacher froze. She "discounted" my own punishment and sent me off.

I know the environment too well. It only gets worse. Reservations for women and OBC will fuck you over in colleges in the future. There is no escape

Technically, any faculty can't do that as that counts as assaulting a minor. But it is what it is, and I'm sad you had to experience it.

You have most of your life ahead of you, don't stress on it too much. Next time something similar happens stand up for yourself.

Find something that interests you, that will get you through life much easier.
