In this thread: I was almost kidnapped/raped tonight. I posted this as a joke reply:

I'm sorry - but why should she have to mold her life around the debased whims of rapists? Those men are the ones in the wrong who have to change, and she's the victim here. So many of the women here on TwoX seem to have inherited the patriarchal victim blaming and have just accepted it as part of them. I wouldn't be surprised if the friend that the poster mentioned (who told her to stop running) is a girl.

Basically I was annoyed because in rape threads in other subreddits I and other people have said something like "to prevent rape, women could take some preventive measures like X, Y and Z" - but those comments almost always get downvoted to hell along with cries of "victim blaming!" But look at the replies my comment generated: other women are saying the exact same things that reddit men say all the time, but get downvoted for!

I was also banned from TwoX for it.
