Someone did a Tinder experiment in Germany that lasted 5 days. They compared two profiles:

  1. A 26-year-old conventionally attractive man who got 32 matches
  2. A 38-year-old woman described as less attractive, with 7 kids who got 142 matches + unknown number of hidden matches

The guy is basically not a bad looking dude. The woman isn't attractive either, but yet she still got 4 times as many matches as the attractive dude.

Look, I'm not saying this to bash anyone. I'm not bitter. I'm not an incel. But this is the reality of dating apps. The game is just completely different for men and women. And I think men need to see this! It's not always your profile picture, your bio, or your job. Sometimes it's just… math.

I'm not saying this to blame women. I'm just saying the stereotype doesn't match reality. Men aren't these shallow creatures who only want models. And women aren't these saints who look past looks. The data shows women are way more selective.

Personal opinion:

When I look at this, I realize I'm probably cooked in the dating market. Not because women are bad or anything just because the numbers are against the average guy. I mean if the dude only gets 32 matches, what chance does a normal guy like me have? Let alone an unattractive guy that's equally unattractive like the woman in the picture? They won't even look at him!

I can see why fewer men are starting to date or even opening dating apps anymore. It's not bitterness. It's just… why all the effort when the odds are this stacked?
