So, for a little bit of context, I'm a 20 y.o. male that still lives at home with my parents.

I'm really curious about how women (specially married or in relationships) with their partner. My father is not the best, has no really been around in my life but with time, I've come to understand that he's trying to be the father he didn't have, and for that I'm grateful, but he has anger issues (or is just really quick to anger). My mother has always been really strict, everything has to be how she says, and you better ask before doing anything.

They both often get into arguments, and to me, it looks like she purposefully rails my father up, so he always ends up shouting and stuff (not that is excusable from his part either). Like, living day to day life with her, she seems to be so up her own ass she is always in the right, the moment you make the tiniest mistake she just goes ballistic.

Is this common? Are people (or rather, women) like this? I have always hated making broad statements, but seeing the stories that get posted here really disheartens me. Please don't take this as me looking for reasons to hate on women, I have wonderful female friends, and love my grandmother's, thanks :)
