And it highlighted a lot of unfairness towards men in domestic situations.
My girlfriend at the time was being super manipulative, and cold. In fact it had been going on for a week. The whole time I have been doing everything to be 'understanding' and help her feel better. Well today when she started arguing with me she would yell whenever I said anything. And I knew I had to shut up or every person in the area would assume I am being some abusive person towards her. She handcuffed me by saying I scared her for anything.
I remained pretty calm because I knew how she was being was nuts... when we were alone I had something in my hand she wanted and she started grabbing me and I said don't touch me. She then did it again, tried to punch me multiple times, and started shoving me. I could not do shit to defend myself because I knew the second I did anything I would be the villain.
It really fucked me up this person I thought loved me was swinging at my face. It also sucked because I felt so handcuffed in the situation from the arguing to when she attacked me.
I don't know the solution, but I know it's not easy for guys in these scenarios. I have chronic neck issues, and she kind of fucked up my neck so I'm in pain right now. But I can't even bring it up to anyone because I know the picture painted will be I am the bad guy and she will spin it some way because guys can never be abused they're big and strong etc.
Yeah, whole situation was bullshit. But it does make the breaking up easier.
