When I was 14 I got sick and was sent to the nurse’s office. She didn’t touch me or anything but she was an older lady about 40. She asked me lots of questions at first they seemed normal but then they got really weird and inappropriate.

She asked if I liked sex. She asked about my size. She even asked if I did “stuff” in the bathroom. She made comments about my body and asked if I was on the football team. It made me uncomfortable so I lied and said I felt better and left.

She didn’t touch me thankfully but society has a way of overlooking male victims especially if their attackers are female. I was 14! I was more into Pokémon than sex or worried about my private size. I never told anyone but my best friend who said I should tell on her but I felt too guilty to tell.

Why? Because I was taught that men were the predators and that women don’t do “that”

They could have been neighbors, teachers, or stranger. Whatever the case is the issues needs to be brought to light because mainstream media acts like it doesn’t happen.

These people won’t be punished until we change the culture around this issue. Also as men we should work on building more places where it’s safe to vent without being attacked again.
