I guess this post is more about misandric culture rather than male female issue before going to the story the basic things are my team had 4 people 3 females and 1 male (me) but only 2 people were from same country me and my senior other 2 were from different country due to this we had different managers

so the story is my senior used to work from home and always used to be away while at work like she would be available for about 2-3 hours from total of 9 hr work, i got to know that even a guy who used to be there before me had told that to our manager he even showed it to manager as he used to sit just beside him. my senior was very hard to work with may be that was just me cause i was new and i had many questions but the problem was she used to help reluctantly during my appraisal i even got to know that she did not like me asking her questions but my manager said since he is a fresher and new it is your job to teach him, still even after that she was not that happy to teach me. as many months went by i got irritated with her attitude not just me but even other 2 team members both of them knew how she was so i decided to tell my manager everything he asked me to send the complaint via email, naive me thought that he will come up with some solution and here was my first encounter with misandric culture.

i got reply from my boss to come in call and he started yelling at me saying "I talked to her and she said that you do not do any work", as i said i was not perfect but it was not like i did not work at all, he really started shouting at me and accusing me of things, i said to him "if you think i do not work you can ask other team members about it, they will tell you how much i work" and the reply i got was "they are not from this country and not part of this team"

he added my senior to call and she was like all the accusations are not true and infact she is the one who never works

i wont bore you with whole conversation but i actually used to think that my manager was a good and smart person hence i went ahead and complained to him but all that was crushed when in that call i asked him "she was offline not even away for 2 hrs" and reply i got was "she must have been gone to drink tea"

after that i gave up on arguing as i got to know nothing is gonna happen here and after a few days i left the company.

my both other team mates who were female backed me up and complained to their manager about it and supported me but nothing happened, i was happy that my other team mates backed me up that i am a good employee and do good work it is her that does not do any work but i had lost all hope.

this was story from about a decade ago i have learned my lesson and due to this i avoided many such instances at work.
