Long time lurker in MensRights, might have commented a time or two, but this is my first actual post.

Backstory: my ex fiancé and I split up in December. We have a son who turned 4 in April. I moved in with my mom immediately and hired a lawyer in February. She took a loan out, moved to her hometown 20 minutes away and started renting a house.

I won't go into every little detail involving the details of our split. It's the same old story every guy has been through, especially financially. I don't care about the money I'm out, I'm worried about my boy.

She started dating a guy in late April(ish) who she had dated before. He was abusive before and I was concerned that he would be again. She and I agreed that we weren't going to be dragging our boy around new SOs until it was something serious. We also had a secondary agreement to notify the other parent when our boy was going to meet the new "other", just out of respect to the other parent. She didn't live up to the second promise on guy #1 so I am immediately suspicious when I find out. Because of his abusive past, my first question to my boy was "has anyone spanked you besides mommy or daddy", to which he replied "Yes, Ryan has". I asked the same question twice more and got the same reply. When we got him that day he immediately went potty and since he hasn't quite mastered the art of fully pulling up his pants, he needed my assistance. That's when I noticed the irregular bruise a little smaller than a half dollar on his left buttcheek. I immediately called my lawyer, DCFS, then went to the county police where she resides and files a report. 2 weeks later the collective reply from both agencies was "this is a non issue you shouldn't have made a report". Hell, I even argued with the detective who called me when he wanted to give me a parenting lecture!

So I move on from that, and she and douchebag break up. This was not quite 4 weeks ago. She called me last Wednesday night, when inhad my boy, asking me for phone numbers of 2 guys I know, one who is a known drug addict (cocaine) and an irresponsible partier. I didn't know, told her she's dumb for calling me, and hung up. Ran into the other guy (an old buddy) and ask why she wanted his number. "To hook up" he says and told me the story and that he denied her. No worries.

Unfortunately, the drug addict took the bait. On Tuesday I get a phone call telling me that the two are at the lake, he is drinking, and my boy is with them. She happened to call me 15 minutes later and I took her to task for having my son around him after 5 days.

Longer story short, I text her a handful of time Tuesday night asking her to explain herself, why she thinks this is good for our child, etc etc.

Today I got a letter from my lawyer with a letter forwarded from hers saying I've harassed her, violated our agreement of no contact unless its about our son etc...When we met at our meetin spot today I recorded video on my phone of me asking her why she is taking my boy around druggie after 5 days, why she thinks having a 2nd guy in 3 weeks around him is a positive influence and so on. She refused to answer any questions just like the other night.

I need to cover my ass on this guys. I've just spent a little time trying to find studies on the effects of this behavior (multiple guys around kids in a short time span) will have in the short and long term. However I'm not finding any of the actual original sources. Can anyone lend a hand?

Also, anyone ever deal with an OP? I've instructed my lawyer, through his secretary to initiate the Order of protection process on my behalf in the basis of her callig me looking for booty call numbers last week, and a handful of other similar calls that weren't about my son. I figure I may as well control the situation. She is going to file one sooner or later.

I need advice, and quite honestly, some damn support. Not a lot of that around here at the moment. My families reaction is essentially "nothing you can do, bend over and take it!". I refuse to believe that shit.
