In this article, you have Ms. Kidman pointing out how (quote) “I married for love, but being married to an extremely powerful man kept me from being sexually harassed,” she says.

I might offer a slightly different perspective.

Perhaps how powerful Mr. Cruz was had nothing to do with it... but actually, the fact that you were "married and faithful" eliminated many of your #MeToo moments?

As I read more and more #MeToo articles -" sexual assault" and "sexual harrassment" have moved more and more from "rape" and "power-play employment demands" to this area of "next day regret over where the date ended up (buyer's remorse)" and "stupid sex-for-an-opportunity decisions that didn't pan out as expected".

As always, I will state clearly (as every good man would) "Nobody wants to see women sexually assaulted."

But, the prevelence of women, getting themselves into a "sexual / romantic / power-play" situation and then claiming they "had no idea where it was going" (IE: "Meet me in my hotel room, alone to discuss work" or "We've been drinking, let me sleep at your place (and nothing will happen)"); has got to stop. It makes women appear niave, and ignorant.

My premis would be this (and I can feel feminists everywhere cringe as I write it); "Maybe Ms. Kidman had less #MeToo moments, simply because A) She was married, B) She wasn't putting herself out there as "available" because she was married, C) Producers, Executives, Etc.. knew she was married and hence "wouldn't be interested in meeting them at a possibly romantic / sexual encounter (so it was off the table in their minds), D) because she was married, she wasn't attending a lot of drinking, social partying events alone and going home with random men, drunk.

Maybe - how powerful Tom Cruz is - has nothing to do with it... And "Maybe" the fact that she was married and making decisions as a married woman, instead of a single party-girl - kept her out of many #MeToo situations?

Hmmm... good advice for single young women. Get married, grow up, and act like an adult instead of a drunk teenager; it eliminates a ton of those #MeToo possibilities.

Thanks Nicole!
