There was a woman who did this the college in my city... shew threw acid on a guy (I think it only got on his arm, but still.... fuck... then she lit herself on fire. She survived.

In the comments section on the news story, women were like "Just leave her alone, she's already been through enough suffering. It's a private issue between them."

It's like the assumption is the guy did something to deserve it and she is somehow the victim.

Can you imagine if that was a man who had done that to a woman? When he caught fire, people would say "Serves him right" and then be calling for him to go to jail.
