I've had a very interesting journey, although I am pretty young (22) I would say that I've went from feminist 14-18 to men's rights activist 19-21 and now I just feel somewhere in the middle. I now believe that both men and women have their issues in this world as well as privileges they're just different. I do believe though that the issues that women do incur are often advocated for to a much greater extent than men's issues are almost making men invisible in some sense. Maybe this is some soy boy shit but I am against the hyper restrictive traditional norms of men being 100% the provider and making all the money or else they aren't real men. What does real man even mean and why can't all men be real men without folks being judged on their finances? Can men not just be judged by their character other than their wallet in a economically unstable time where for the most part having two working individuals in the home is necessary for a family? It seems like we've come to a point where others aren't expected to be traditional but men still are. As times are changing we have to change with the times, but how can we change this? Stop dating untraditional women who expect you to be traditional? Maybe, but I believe for the most part women hold access to sex and relationships so there will always be another dude who will do it for her. Just reflecting.
