I'm no expert, but here's my take on your questions:

1: Yes, it is important to seperate the activism for women from that for men. Women dominate the care market, and so it is difficult for men to gain traction for their needs. Add to this the Women are Wonderful Effect and the situation rapidly devolves into female exclusive activism.

Compare the continued refrains that feminism wants to help men too, especially re the bias in family court, while the leading feminist organizations (NOW in particular) are fighting to make the problem more severe.

2: The cynic in me wants to say that being a man is about being without value. At least slaves had a price, right?

A more reasonable part of me wants to say that being a man is about responsibility, total and unvarnished. I am wholly responsible for every act, action and fact in my life in a way that women would find hard to comprehend.

3: The social problems of men are many and varied, but stem from one source: the empathy gap. Male Genital Mutilation, sentencing disparities, the invisibility of male victims, humiliation and devaluing men in entertainment, just to name a few.

One that's got my particular dander up is the expansion of rape laws to cover many normal and consensual behaviors. This has the effect of shifting the responsibility of women's sexual choices onto men.

I think an argument can be made that the agent-object dichotomy is fundamentally responsible for the empathy gap, but that is a much longer discussion.

4: This is the hard part. Even if we come up with solutions to any particular complaint (requiring informed consent for circumcision, for example,) these will not solve the fundamental core of the problem. The ultimate solution is to accept men as uniquely and intrinsicly valuable human beings. That is a very tough row to hoe.

yes. because feminism (the largest movement for female activism) actively opposes and prohibits male activism.

1) Yes, as men and women have separate and sometimes opposing interests. There is also a certain antagonistic movement to look out for.

2) Whatever you like. And completely disregarding the words of anyone who uses the phrase "Real Man".

3) & 4) would require extremely long lists.

Because the current climate regarding gender issues, and the fact that people tend to care more about women will mean that any advocacy group that attempts to deal with both will be dominated by women's issues.
Having being a man mean anything else than simply having a penis is unconscionable in today's climate of gender equality. Men shouldn't have to earn their place any more than women do.
There are tons of social problems that others will address, but I find the largest one is the general attitude towards men. It is misogynist to believe that men are better at or do anything better than women, and all male accomplishments are written off as a result of them cheating and holding women down or discriminating against them by huge portions of society. Meanwhile it is commonly accepted and commonly stated that women are just better than men at a whole host of things, as well as not being as prone to doing negative things as men. We also don't draw attention to the gender of anyone male whenever they accomplish anything positive and do so when they do anything negative and draw attention to it whenever a man fails or does something negative.
Get rid of feminism first and then we can maybe start having a discussion about the way men and women actually are, without insisting that people only say that one sex is better.
